Out of Bounds, 2022
Oil, pigment & cold wax on board

Out of Bounds is a place you don't want to be in golfing terms. However, from an artistic standpoint, I found myself strongly drawn to it. More specifically, I was captivated by an old metal out-of-bounds marker situated between the 17th green and Eastlake at Botany Dams.

The marker's formal composition of black and white had weathered away over time, with rust taking hold. This deterioration made it an ideal subject for one of my pieces in the rust series.
