Dark Black, 2020
Oil on board
SOLD

"Dark Black" holds a special place in my artistic journey. It was the first piece that Anna Curnuck, from SIBU Gallery, accepted on consignment from me. Interestingly, at the time, I was unsure if the artwork was truly complete. However, Anna swiftly convinced me otherwise, and the outcome, as they say, is history.

Shortly after that initial encounter with Anna, "Dark Black" found a new home with a collector residing on Sydney's lower north shore. This sale marked a significant milestone for me.

Since then, I have continued my artistic partnership with Anna and SIBU Gallery. The bond formed during that time has remained steadfast, and I am grateful to be associated with Anna and the gallery throughout my artistic journey.

This short clip shows the highly textured surface and the interplay between different layers of paint applied at varying stages of dryness.
