Rust Texture No. 2, 2021
Oil & cold wax on board
SOLD

This piece marked a significant turning point in my artistic practice as it was the first time I ventured into using cold wax medium.

The inspiration for this artwork came from an old industrial bin I encountered one morning while wandering down a laneway in the CBD. The metal was distorted and fractured, and the peeling paint contributed to a captivating aesthetic.

I am also very proud that my gallerist’s husband loved this piece so much that he bought it rather than let it go to another collector. Thanks Wayne!
